What was your source for this recipe?
Tell us more about what inspired you. I used all the skills and techniques that I've learned from nearly 30 Craftsy classes I've taken and my inspiration was my 5 year old grandson's Halloween birthday and his love for Spider-Man.
Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: I made homemade vanilla bean cake. 3 - 10 inch rounds and 1 - 8 inch round cut in quarters for the shoulders. I glued it together with buttercream. I then put homemade strawberry fondant on a styrofoam wig head and placed strategically on top of the stacked 10 inch cakes that were already covered in the strawberry fondant. I then used my extruded to make the black web and glued on with tylose glue. The eyes are white colored fondant. The black spiders were made with black 50/50 inspired by a cake by one of my fav instructors, Joshua John Russel. The kids loved this cake.
