Instructions

I designed and drafted the vest and the belt. The dress is a mix of two commercial patterns. I have some general instructions, but unfortunately, nothing downloadable.

What was your inspiration?

The theme for Halloween where I work is Star Wars... I looked at the costumes for the different characters and this looked like something I could tackle.

What are you most proud of?

I like the fabric on the vest. I had to sew together little strips of fabric to make it because I couldn't find the striped fabric.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I would have used one pattern entirely. I think the Burda pattern alone would have been fine, but it turned out ok in the end. Also, the vest is a little big... I would make it smaller next time.
