What was your inspiration?
I learned how to simple tunisian stitch on the round with one color. I realized that it looked like chainmail and created the gauntlets in blue for my son. Then I thought wouldn't it be neat to design a chainmail tabard (of course I didn't know what to call it when I started this project) to go with those gauntlets. My grandson saw what I was making and wanted one in green. So my inspiration came from the stitch pattern and our involvement in the SCA.
What are you most proud of?
I am proud of the tabard. I designed the pattern myself.
