Fandango layer cake from Moda
What was your inspiration?
Wanted to use this beautiful layer cake. Also decided to make something for myself since my last several projects were gifts for others. I love this fabric (Moda always catches my eye!) and wanted to showcase it without small pieces so I chose large half square triangles. Thought it would be more interesting than just blocks.
I used one of the Fandango prints in another quilt and loved it so much that I got a layer cake to make a whole quilt.
What are you most proud of?
That all the piecing is done!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just go for it. You don't need a pattern. Start sewing and use all that beautiful fabric!!!!
