Materials

Trellis Yarn worsted weight yarn or other yarn of choice

What was your inspiration?

I saw a scarf being made with regular worsted weight yarn and wanted to make something light weight, so I used the Trellis Yarn which created a very unique, and orignal look.

What are you most proud of?

I love to create beautiful wearable projects.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you like what you have created, then others will also. There is a lot you can do with Hairpin lace; just use your imagination. There is a lot of information on Hairpin Lace coming back into style. So just be creative and try something new.

I have used hairpin lace for scarves, but have usually crocheted an edging through the ends of the loops - sometimes sc, sometimes other stitches. You may need to ch between the stitches of the edging to keep the correct spacing between the hairpin lace loops

I have done similar things. I have also made headbands with added tabs at the ends. I have made several different styles of scarves in the past, with a variety of yarns, thick and thin.
