Instructions

I did a search on Google for free patterns and this was one I found.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Children

Style: Cute

Materials

Scraps from some baby boy quilts I had done recently

What was your inspiration?

One of my former employee's was having a baby boy out of state (her husband is military) and away from everyone. One of my traditions at my job was to make baby quilts for my employee's and she is no exception.

What are you most proud of?

I did a search and found the pattern, used scraps from all over the place and was impressed it worked. The back was leftover blue flannel someone gave me. It all worked out really well.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The hardest part was keeping the lines correct. That takes correct cutting and ironing when piecing. Also use good quality thread or it won't hold up to the rigors of a baby.
