What was your inspiration?
I am fascinated by the squirrels in my backyard!
What are you most proud of?
I love that these are somewhat realistic without being too defined. They remind me a little bit of an Edward Gorey character.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
A word of warning: You may get the song Grey Squirrel stuck in your head while making these!
You can turn them into ornaments or let children play with them as toys.
You can vary the size and make them bigger or smaller.
You could go further and add detailed arms and legs, perhaps a felted acorn for the squirrel to hold.
