What was your inspiration?

I saw the pattern on the cover of Berroco Comfort #269 http://www.berroco.com/269/269_interlaken_pv.html

I knew I had to knit it in a green colorway for Mama C.

What are you most proud of?

This project was one of the best kept secrets of 2008. I knit from July 1 and finished on Dec 21. It went many miles - worked on it at home, at lunch at the office, at dr. appts, dentist appts, road trips, etc. It was well worth the effort and the secrecy when I surprised the recipient at Christmas 2008 with the gift. It is her favorite afghan and is still in beautiful shape 3-years and many washings later.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Entrelac looks scarier than it really is. It's basically stockinette stitch and picking up stitches from raw edges.
