2x4 wall supports with 2x6 roof supports and greenhouse panels mounted off the side of our horse barn. Where we live near Glacier Park Montana, the wind blows so hard and nights are so cool that no warm weather vegetables will grow. They thrive in this 10 x 20 greenhouse.
What was your inspiration?
We could not grow warm weather crops. One small commercial greenhouse we bought was successful for one season, but blew away the next winter.
What are you most proud of?
This greenhouse design was simple and the building has lasted without any damage through three severe Montana winters.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Build strong and put plenty of slope on the roof so the snow will slid off.
