What are you most proud of? I'm so proud of mastering seed stitch! I an an English knitter, so it was just not computing when I first started out on this scarf, but I went back to it a week later after watching some youtube videos and nailed it and haven't stopped since. This is the project I get the most compliments on when I work on it and my little sister even looked up the basket weave stitch to try to make a similar one for herself.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you are an English knitter and are having trouble with seed stitch, look on you tube and pinterest for video tutorials to clarify it a little more. I kept forgetting to move my yarn to the front and back to switch between knitting and purling so I would end up with more than twice the number of stitches I had cast on. Keep trying and you will get it!

Very nice! I hope to be able to duplicate that.

You inspired me to purchase this class with your beautiful scarf!!! Haven't started yet but I hope to knit one as pretty.

ShowAndTellMeg, Your scarf is very, very pretty! I really like the way you alternated knitted blocks of seed stitch and basket weave stitches. I bought a yarn very similar in color. At first I groaned and thought why did I buy this grey color?!?!? After I began knitting it up was when I started seeing its true beauty - just as I see the beauty in your scarf! The first thing about your yarn that caught my eye was the way it shimmers and reflects light. How great it is that your little sister has been motivated to learn to knit and what a great opportunity for you become her mentor! Great job!

Thank you so much! I kind of had the same feeling at first with the gray - I just grabbed it to try and learn the stitch - but now I'm loving it. It's a great neutral so I can wear it much more than my other scarves. Good luck on yours!
