Plymouth Yarn: Kudo (55% cotton, 40% rayon, 5% silk) - Color #43 Debbie Bliss - cotton, black, for contrast on ribbing
What was your inspiration?
I had most of the skein the Kudo yarn left over from making my friend, who's allergic to wool, an entrelac headband. The colors were really rich, so wanted to see what the rest of it would look like knitted into a beret.
What are you most proud of?
Really enjoyed seeing how the color changes worked out. I added some cotton yarn as contrast in the ribbing.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
With all the varigated skeins of yarn out there, it's difficult to know how they'll turn out in a project. This hat is big and floppy and I think I look a little like an exotic mushroom when I wear it!
