What materials did you use? Red Heart Saver yarns and other yarns that belonged to my boyfriend's mother that she no longer used, not sure what brands.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take Vickie Howell's Crochet Lab class for good advice and visuals on how to join yarn when changing colors and to weave ends and put squares together.

Granny squares are very easy to make. The hardest part is making sure the ends are weaved in and stitching them together. I am getting better as I go along. I am working on my third blanket now. Vickie Howell's Crochet Lab course really helped me with learning how to do this better.

Thank you. It was made from yarn my boyfriend's mom had. He wanted a blanket made out of it. I just finished another one that I hope to post soon.

They are actually VERY easy. The thing I learned with this blanket (as it is coming apart in some places) is to weave in the ends, and to make sure the ends are a few inches long. I also learned how to join the colors via Vicky Howell's Craftsy Course: Crochet Lab. I made this BEFORE taking that course, and I must say my blankets are MUCH more durable now! =) She also has a pattern for them, super easy, and it's drawn out, so after you do the square you can actually place it on top of the drawing, it's an actual size pattern, very nice! Her instructions are wonderful too! I love her! I
