What was your inspiration?

I had always admired the original GMFG and I had a bag of them for a few years and I finally decided to put them together in a little less traditional manner.

What are you most proud of?

This was my first attempt at any free motion quilting and I dont think it went too bad and I have another quilt that I am column quilting as demonstrated my Nancy Z. and since it was going so well, I decided to try it again and it has gone well also.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you are using column quilting,,,, do stabilize long sections with basting. On I the inside sections, I did stitch in the ditch along each of the sashes in order to stabalize it. I am about to begin the outside borders and since I have no sashes to follow, I will be sure to baste vertically , several times .

Very beautiful. What size hexagons did you use?
