Materials

brooch, heavy cotton thread, transparent thread, 3 types of feathers, glue.

What was your inspiration?

Hats worn during the Victorian era.

What are you most proud of?

That I wore my grandmother's brooch in my wedding and it complimented my color theme.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Choose a brooch that is not heavy or bulky in the back (unless you are willing to cut the pin and back parts off the brooch. Weighty jewelry will be hard to keep in place in your hair.
