Grandma's doily

I will be refining the pattern and will then put it on the market. Contact me if you want to know when it is ready!

What was your inspiration?
I saw a doily at my mother's house I was sure that Grandma made. Mom said yes, and I asked to borrow it to reproduce it. Grandma worked it in several colors, being frugal as she was she would use every bit of random thread she had left over from other projects. I thought it would be beautiful made up in classic white, and I was right.
What are you most proud of?
I am proud that I am able to bring some of Grandma's creations back to life. I am also very proud that I showed unusual (for me) patience in deciphering every stitch in a 30" doily!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Give yourself time, and don't be afraid to frog it (rip it, rip it) if you make a mistake. It's all part of the process!
