What was your inspiration?

I saw this in a magazine and thought that it was just like the last one that my Grandma had made.

What are you most proud of?

That this was the first quilt that I made. All of it was done by hand, using the English piecing method.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

takes some time but it was well worth it.

Love it. I also have a Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt started. To date I have 36 blocks done and they are all in shades of pinks and rose with yellow centers. I will also be working on this one in the winter. I love the English paper piecing. It is so calming for me. Yours is just wonderful. I too have one that my grandmother did when I was a little girl. When my mother passed on, I inherited it along with many other old and antique quilts. There is no better legacy.

Thanks, I would have to say that this is one of my favorites, I too did inherit Grandma's quilts, including the one that my great-uncle had made before he went to the gold rush in CA (so the story says)
