What advice would you give someone starting this project? Spray basting is awesome. This is the first project I've done with spray baste and I'm never going back to pins.

I love the dresden plate pattens. What a treasure to finish a quilt that your gramma started so many years ago. I would cherish that one forever. Great idea to quilt it in sections, I have never tried that (yet).

Very nice quilt top. Glad to see someone else taking on the challenge of quilting a big quilt on a DSM. Glad to hear the spray basting was a success. I am working on splitting my quilt in there and trying to spray basting for the first time. Hope results are as good as yours!
