What was your inspiration?
This quilt was inspired by two challenges - one the 'Wish Upon a Star' Project QUILTING Challenge': http://www.persimondreams.com/2013/02/project-quilting-season-4-challenge-4wish-upon-a-star.html AND the challenge from my local quilt guild - we were given two fabrics, one of the reds and a darker not quite black one and the number 13 to consider.
I put 13 stars within the big star. The big star represents my Grandma who is now in heaven watching over her 13 children.
What are you most proud of?
the non square/rectangle shape and all the tedious piecing I did...I'm not a piecer.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Does anyone have any thoughts on how I can have this hang in in show?
