What was your inspiration?

I liked the fabrics and thought my granddaughter might like a quilt!

What are you most proud of?

I cut some flowers out of one of the prints and appliqued them onto the quilt; also did some quilting in the border using a stencil. Found both a little difficult due to maneuvering the quilt around my regular home sewing machine.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

You created a pretty little quilt & your extra touches are wonderful. You might think about getting you a Supreme Slider to go on your machine & some quilting gloves. These items have helped me a lot on my conventional machine. Pamillia, thank you so much for your kind words! And for the advice ... I have the quilting gloves which have helped, but I'm going to look for the supreme slider! I really appreciate your thoughts on this!

Your granddaughter will love that quilt because you made it especially for her! Quilting is the most difficult part for me because of having to move the bulk of fabric around in my sewing machine. I haven't tried to applique anything that small so I imagine it is difficult. You did a great job.

What a lovely quilt for your granddaughter. The appliqued flower does add to the bigger squares. Your granddaughter is a luck girl. Lovely quilt!
