What materials did you use? Grand Central Terminal from the City Quilter in NYC. Bottom Line thread for the background quilting.

What are you most proud of? That everything came together in the end! I was developing the ideas as I went along so I made the process of construction much more difficult for myself than it needed to be. But it all worked out (somehow)! I feel that the quilt really addressed the ideas I hoped to convey about the train terminal and about changes in transportation through time.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? It's a good idea to design your pattern BEFORE your start constructing, if possible. :)

Without seeing any others, consider yourself a winnner! The quilting tells a story, the colors are very easy on my eye. Blue ribbon, a cash prize would be nice!

Thanks, 4Bird! Really, I'm just hoping to make it to the second round of judging, but getting the blue ribbon sure would be nice :) Those who are chosen for the second round of judging get to have their quilts hung in Grand Central - quite an honor, I think!
