What was your inspiration?

I love math and numbers and this quilt is all about proportion. I had fun sketching it out and even more fun making it with fabric!

I love that it's gender neutral, and can be customized to fit any style.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Join my workshop and enjoy the process!

Looks like a great pattern for assembly line like production. I wish to find a pattern to use scraps of kid friendly prints and larger pieces in my stash to donate child size quilts to a homeless shelter. Time then for CRAFTSY class and more up to date fabric!

Looks like it would be fun -- not too difficult either. Have been working on a wall hanging now for over 2 years, have made the pattern several times before but for some reason it's just not going together right, and would love to just be able to put it away and start something new! And this would work just fine....

My 6 year old granddaughter would love this quilt! She likes very colorful things and I would love to make her one to help her get through the fact that her father just left her mother and 2 brothers. She is the oldest child and is a great help to her mother. Her youngest brother who is 4 weeks old is having medical problems and so she must take care of her 16 month old brother while her mother is busy with the little one. She is so grown up but is really a great little girl. Thank you for sharing this design!

I have had to move numerous times in the last few years having to leave my fabric collection (which any Quilter knows, that takes many years to accumulate) as well as my sewing machines and serger. I am beginning to re-stock fabric and was lucky to purchase another inexpensive sewing machine. I'm starting from "scratch" again. I would love to make this quilt as it would be the perfect 'get back into my favorite hobby" project. I love purple and the quilt is beautiful. Great job!

I love the colors you picked. I've been too intimidated to try quilting, but I might be able to handle this one.

I had to giggle when I read your comment on numbers and proportion -- that is completely what I was thinking. I have a husband and 4 boys that all LOVE math (kinda sick of them :-) and can see this being a huge hit. I also like the simplicity so that even though my hands are disabled, this is a design that works well with straight lines. Many designs don't work well with handicaps.

I love the simplicity of this quilt--in both the pattern and the fabrics.
