What materials did you use? Black raw silk and handdyed blue silk shantung for fashion fabric, silk organza as underlining and lightweight silk habotai for lining.

What are you most proud of? Finishing this on time! It was really down to the wire at the end. And I'm really proud of taking the time to make this with thought toward fit and construction, which I usually skimp on (to bad results!)

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Give yourself longer than you think you need to finish. Test your fit in a variety of situations (sitting down, walking, picking things up, etc.) Choose your fabrics carefully (my lining is much too thin!).

I was thinking of using this dress to take advantage of this winter's color-blocking trend. Your dress has sealed the deal for me. Great job and you look wonderful in it!
