Chocolate cake mixes, chocolate frosting, raspberry jam, rolled fondant(black, red and white), Color mist spray black and red.
What was your inspiration?
My Aunt asked if I would make my cousins graduation cake so I started looking online to try and get some ideas. I knew I wanted to work with fondant so I came up with the stacked books idea.
What are you most proud of?
That the books actually resembled books.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It is really hard to color white fondant black. start with a chocolate fondant. I learned the hard way and I ended up having to use the wilton Color Mist sprays to get the color I wanted.
