What was your inspiration?
Our daughter is an art teacher and one of her favorite artists is Laurel Burch. I found a few of the fabrics at a quilt shop and started buying what I could find after that. I bought the panel and wasn't sure what kind of quilt I was going to make. I made numerous sketches and finally showed the panel to our daughter for help. She made one quick sketch and I had my idea. Rather than just appliqueing the flowers, I decided to make them 3 dimensional. I hope they hold up when it's washed!
What are you most proud of?
How the quilt all came together and the interest the 3 dimensional flowers creates.
