What was your inspiration?

I used some of this fabric line in a baby quilt, then decided I liked the fabric so much I would make a lap quilt. The line is called Good Fortune by Kate Spain.

What are you most proud of?

I am a fairly new quilter and I get excited when the final product actually comes out the way I envisioned it, LOL. Plus, I tried some simple free motion quilting on both of the floral end panels and it was not awful :o).

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Pick a fabric you love and go for it. This is very easy to put together and I think the end result is very pretty. For me, using the solid with only two prints makes this quilt look contemporary and up-to-date.
