Category: Other

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Funky, Retro / Vintage, Traditional, Holiday, Classic

Materials

Gold 8 mm beaded garland 10 feet (3.05 m); crochet cotton, size 10, 350 yds (320 m) 1 ball of desired color per 10 feet (3.05 m) of garland; and size 7 (1.65 mm) steel crochet hook

What was your inspiration?

I love working with thread and was having fun coming up with different lacy designs to crochet around the beaded garland.

What are you most proud of?

I decided to add a buttonhole at the end of the garland to make it easier to connect multiple sections depending on the size of the tree. Doing that, I realized the garlands could also be made as shorter lengths and worn as a bracelet, necklace or even a belt! I had a great time making these!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It takes a little getting used to crocheting between the beads of the garland but it's a fun project to make!

The instructions are given for 10 feet of beaded garland, but the garland can be made in any length, from bracelet size to as long as you want. Be sure to count the beads first to make sure you have the correct multiples for the specific garland pattern.

This garland is included in the Gorgeous Garlands pattern set. The set is available for $3.00 and is written in U.S. terms.
