What was your inspiration?
I love the all the ruffled cakes that I have been seeing lately and I have been dying to do one. Plus, pink and gold! I love the glitzy color combination with the ruffles.
What are you most proud of?
The ruffles. It was my first time doing them. Also, successfully flipping a cake over and decorating it upside down. I had never done that before and boy, that is stressful the first time you do that!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Patience. The ruffles take time, but the effect is well worth it.
