Materials

This ring is hand crafted in fine silver and features a woman's face with wind swept hair. It is a one of kind creation sculpted in fine silver clay. When fired the clay becomes .999 silver, which is more pure than sterling silver. It has been given a multi hue patina in various shades of greenish blue and hints of purples to give it a more antique look.

What was your inspiration?

While working on another piece, I was using the silver clay in a syringe to get a filigree look and I noticed that it started looking like hair. I couldn't help but envision the flowing silver as windswept hair, windswept hair that wrapped and twisted around a ring. And so she eventually took shape :)

Your ring is so beautiful. She has such a presence. I would love to have the pure talent you have to be able to make this ring. I can't wait to watch how she was "born". Thank you for the inspiration and sharing her with us. Also, do you sell your jewelry?
