What was your inspiration?
A weekend wedding was just the kind of fire I needed under my butt to make this dress Ive had in my queue since this time last year. Although it was freeezing, I stripped off my jacket and ran into the sun so we could take photos of this very cute 2-print A-line dress. Its lined with acetate on the front and sides for optimal dancing without the cotton bunching up.
What are you most proud of?
Finally using that Batik purchased with a birthday gift certificate last year. :)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Try it on throughout the process - try the top on after putting together the bodice pieces, try the skirt after putting together the pieces... then make the lining and all that if it fits, then zipper, etc.
