What was your inspiration?
I wanted to use my little gnome for a bag project. I have made the little red hat shorter than on the pattern to fit the bag pattern. I have add the picture of the finished bag, that has been made with the "two zip hipster" pattern, by erin Erickson, also available on Cratsy. See my other projects for more of this bag.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
As for every paper pieced block, choose well contrasting fabrics, particularly for the background.
Use paint to add some pink to your gnome's chicks and nose, he will be reallly cute!
