Instructions

It is very important to achieve the correct guage for this pattern to have a proper fit. A loose guage will make it look too baggy, because there is already plenty of ease written into the pattern. A tight guage will make the button band pucker when closed.

What was your inspiration?

The original pattern used a beautiful multi-tonal yarn, but I wanted a natural fiber without any dyes used. I thought it was an organic combination between the pattern and the yarn, and I wanted to create a timeless piece.

What are you most proud of?

The fit! It really looks flattering. I have curves, and this cardigan hangs at just the right areas. The slim arms make my arms look a little trimmer too.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Get the right guage. Since the designer says she tends to knit a little tighter, a sport weight yarn is a great choice if you are having trouble achieving guage with a DK weight.
