The netted portion of the pendant was made with faceted crystal beads and size 8 seeds. I believe that the black/white/tan stone in the middle is agate, but I could be wrong (it was an awesome flea market find!). The strap is made with size 11 seeds, in a kind of daisy-chain stitch with little picots on the sides..
What was your inspiration?
I have some shirts in my closet that needed a new necklace....so I put this together, with a couple of techniques I know.
What are you most proud of?
I LOVE the centerpiece. People have actually walked up to me and lifted the little pendant off my chest while rotating it in the light, to watch the facets sparkle...LOL!!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
You could probably make something like this if you know how to do netting. A similar strap, or even a spiral-stitched strap, would work well, also.
