Girly Drawstring Bags

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Bag-Making Basics: Drawstring Bag & Bucket Bag »

Instructions

I flipped it and put the wider panel at the top, I just like it better that way.

I also topstitched around my drawstring holes to make it stronger.

I also boxed my corners {1" from the point}

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Functional

For: Girls

Style: Casual, Cute

Materials

cotton fat quarters

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Even if you already think you know how to do something, take the class anyway, you'll be surprised what you might learn!

So pretty! We used to call these drawstring bags "Dorothy bags" when I was a child (no idea why!).

The girls' bags are so girly and the pirate bags so masculine. You are a very clever lady. I like the boxed corners, too.
