I used a small wood chest that my husband made or you can buy online and then I used acyclic paints and made the design as I went along
What was your inspiration?
I wanted something in pastels for my new granddaughter. So I guess she was my inspiration.
What are you most proud of?
I am not a painter and can't even paint a straight line but I am proud of this box and have continued making different styles and they're all done with dots and stripes.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just that if I can do it anyone can. You just have to use your imagination. It's hard for me to lay out a pattern so I just start and go from there. Amazing what you can do with dots and tape to make the lines. Also a tip that I learned and now use all the time. If you are going to put tape down and then paint a color, say for instance the yellow on the front. I would paint it white first, let it try and then paint the yellow. This way you have no bleeding of paint under the tape.
