What was your inspiration?
It is summer in Australia and soon to be beach weather. I hate sand!!! It gets into everything. I wanted a new beach/swimming bag for my kids - something I could just wipe over inside and outside. A bag where precious things would be protected from water and dirt and also when wet towels and swimmers were dumped inside on the way home that would protect the car seat from getting wet and dirty. I also wanted the bad to be of a size and style that the kids could manage themselves and not just something else for me to carry!!
What are you most proud of?
The buttonholes where the drawstring emerges from the bag. Buttonholes give this style of closure more durability and strength.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is an easy project so just choose fabrics that are fun for you to work with.
