Girl with a Pearl Earring

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Thread Art »

Instructions

This was my first attempt at thread art and I had a blast with it! I have decided that I don't like the background I did for her, but it was a learning process, so I'm okay with it. I highly recommend this course...I loved that I could sew and color...blending my two interests!

I love how your background highlights your "girl". It is a fantastic and so creative backdrop. And your color choices are so rich. The piece is gorgeous.

I am blown away. Your project is awesome. I love the way you colored the scarf. How did your background go from tan to blue/grey? Was that colored pencil?

I did use colored pencils...Prismacolor was the brand. Many thanks for the nice words!

Wow! Yes I said Wow and mean it. This is a piece that is very interesting to me along with the very usual background. I love that background because I believe that it makes the overall design standout. Your color choices and application is wonderful. I would love for you to post this on my facebook page. Please. http://www.facebook.com/LolasDesignerQuilts?ref=hl

I really love the colours you've used for the headdress - they give the idea of shining silk! Well done - I've yet to start my Thread Art course, but am looking forward to it and hope I'll do as well as you have!.
