What was your inspiration?
Little Dresses For Africa started by Rachel O'Neil inspired me to design dresses to donate to Chikumbuso In Lusaka, Zambia.
I thought that it would be great to give a dress to a child who may never have had her own new dress.
What are you most proud of?
I made quite a few dresses and got a group of people to get together and made 20 more dresses.to send to Chikumbuso a safe haven for widows, their children, and orphans that live there.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you start off with a simple dress, you can find trims and fun fabrics to make the dress unique and interesting. Also getting people together for a sewathon can be lots of fun.
