Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Clothing

For: Children

Style: Whimsical, Cute, Casual

Materials

gingham fabric, embroidery floss

What was your inspiration?

Just wanted to make my daughter some summer tops for the hot days we've been having. The fabric reminded me of a tablecloth in an Italian restaurant/pizza place, so I embroidered on a leaning tower of Pisa.

What are you most proud of?

She likes it!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Put on some Dean Martin tunes and get stitching!

I didn't use a pattern, but I'm (ever so slowly) working on a tutorial for it. I'll post a link when I finish. Hopefully, summer won't be over by then!

I hope not, I would like to make it for my granddaughter--I've made her two with no pattern so far this summer, and wanted to add this one as a last one. :)

I just bought my grand daughters their own eletric sewing machines, ages 8 and 10, and we are trying to make some cute outfits, this one hits the spot. Thanks for posting.
