Materials
Soft worsted weight yarn, in 6 oz. (170 g) skeins - dark pink (5 skeins); and a size H (5.00 mm) crochet hook.
What was your inspiration?
I wanted to use my reversible technique to create a design using texture instead of color.
What are you most proud of?
I really like the way the hearts and the textured squares worked out to create the gingham design. I have also made this in a dark purple and a light blue - it looks great in any color!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is not as complicated as it looks. The reversible design is created using only sc, long hdc and ch stitches. Follow the detailed instructions explaining where the stitches are placed to create this fun design. A graph is provided for reference which identifies the repeats so it would be easy to change the size of the afghan if desired.
The finished size is 36" wide by 37" long.
