Hi Stephanie!I was wondering if I could apply some of your techniques taught in the Pickup Stick & Finger Control Techniques class while using a Tapestry/Frame Loom? I was interested in taking your class but unsure if it would be of help to me since I mostly work on a Tapestry loom. Thanks!

You can use many of these techniques on the tapestry loom especially if you set up string heddles to help you out

What is the best loom to start with

I use the Cricket by Schacht. I like to ratchet break they have. It allows small adjustment to your tension and allows you to hold a lot of tension if needed. See if a local shop has some different brands to try they are your best resource as they can offer support.

Hi, I was wondering how many of these techniques I'd be able to use on a frame or tapestry loom. I don't have a rigid heddle loom. Thanks, Kamille

Most of the techniques are pretty easily translated to a frame loom or tapestry. Just remember if you are supposed to do it on an open shed, you can use your pick up stick on the frame/tapestry loom to create the open shed. Happy Weaving!

Thanks, Stephanie. I thought I was commenting on a bunch of different students' projects and would be getting their feedback. Sorry about all the duplication!
