What materials did you use? Cotton print, muslin underlining, broadcloth lining for bodice, glass buttons, cotton twill hem tape.

What are you most proud of? the bound button holes

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Study photos from this time period to get the right look. I used Simplicity 3725 as a fitting pattern. Then I widened the sleeves, lowered the shoulder seams off the shoulders, removed the waistline yoke and added buttons and bound buttons holes where the pattern called for a zipper.

Cute dress for the period. Reminds me of my daughter when I told her she had to wear a dress to church and not jeans. What a Tomboy.

Yes, my daughter is a tomboy too. I wish I could get her to wear a crinoline with the dress, but it would interfere with climbing trees. lol.
