What was your inspiration?
The idea came from a border design I made for another afghan and wanted to use the same type stitch to create connect-as-you-go motifs.
What are you most proud of?
I like the way the octagons and squares joined together to create an interesting design with the radiating light to dark colors. I also had a lot of fun playing around with different color combinations.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Weave in the ends as you work so it's not a big job at the end. The motifs are joined using the connect-as-you go method. An assembly chart is also provided.
The finished size is 51" wide by 67" long.
