Materials

Fleece for the back, cotton fabrics for the top - machine sewn. Batting, quilt binding tape, thread, sewing supplies & tools. It measures 44.5" W X 60" L. The finished block measures 7" x 7" square - where the rectangle is 7" x 3" and the squares are 3 " x 3 " and so both the sashings are 1"...I hope this helps...

What was your inspiration?

ohhh just looking around at so many quilts - and wanting to make something a little different than those previously made.

What are you most proud of?

How nice it looks...this is probably one of my favorite quilts that I made.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

take your time and try to get all the blocks even.

Very beautiful and a lovely idea of putting sashing in between all the pieces. The white shashing makes all your prints stand out without clashing.

Love your use of color and the simple pattern that looks very clean and contemporary yet could be very traditional depending on fabric choices. I can see lot's of different ideas for using these blocks. Great job!

that is a really good question...I don't remember - I was flipping though some on-line places and saw this pattern...printed out a picture - then made it up myself - it's really not that difficult - I have explained it on her - so perhaps you can follow that and make one for your self...good luck!
