Materials

I used various different colored tiles with black grout. The wood/oak able was found in a local thrift shop for $4.97. It was cute and in good condition but I needed an end table and this fit the bill.

What was your inspiration?

I was inspired by the need to create a side table for my living room, with a limited budget and teal green and neutral bases to go by, I came up with a geometric design.

What are you most proud of?

The end product and the fact that I had the materials, except the table on hand. I love the idea of making something useful again out of something old.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Keep your palettes simple and in the same family for a subtle look. Far away it looks similar but up close you see the beautiful variations in the colors of the glass. Work on a design and with the colors you enjoy! A nice outdoor space when it comes to grouting doesn't hurt either.
