What was your inspiration?
My father is my inspiration for the rhododendrons and azaleas. He instilled in me a love of the outdoors, birds, trees, clouds and a joy in plants. The sculptures are a result of my love of art and being an artist. The buddha represents an ongoing spiritual quest to develop myself, to respect others and to love others.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my children. My garden is a place I go to find tranquility and joy. It also is a place that is constantly changing by the season so there is always something new to observe.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Trust your judgment and just dig in.
