Home & Garden: garden shed
18 kudoz

garden shed

Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Home & Garden

Type of item: Functional

For: Garden

Style: Whimsical

Materials

recyled tin, board and an old 8x10 frame. pretty much the entire project is recyled materials, even the shelving inside as the doors.

What was your inspiration?

i love the look of an aged wooden barn - they have a certain smell and feel that bring back good memories.

What are you most proud of?

the idea in my head that became the shed in my yard.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

ask around for used materials from friends and neighbors and do the work with someone you really get along with - can't have two chiefs and no indians. it's a lot of work to take out thousands of old nails out of barn board but well worth the effort.

This is marvelous! Makes me long for the days when I lived on farms in rural Jersey. It looks as though you have additional materials for ongoing projects in the background. It's such a wonderful feeling when you put in a good, hard days work...helps you to sleep peacefully at night. When you meld friends and neighbors in your search for supplies, it makes it all the more special. Carry on fornspy!

At first I thought you were turning it into a chicken coop! It's a lovely project. :-)
