What was your inspiration?
the grass under our oak tree was really sparse and I couldn't get anything to grow. I figure it's less to mow.
What are you most proud of?
the fact that ducks landed in my pond and stayed a week! Frogs enjoy it too. Birds think it's the biggest bird bath they have ever seen <3
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
get someone young and strong to dig the pond. We used a pool liner but I don't recommend that as it's really hard to hide the blue plastic. In hindsight I should have used something black.
