What materials did you use? Two cotton t-shirt and cotton embroidery floss

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take your work outside and sit in the garden and enjoy the fact that you dont need a machine to make your own t-shirt. Enjoy the class and Natalie Chanins teaching style. Accept uneven stitches!

This is beautiful and you use surprising touches that make for something I'm sure you will wear for a long time!

Your project is even more beautiful close-up. Love your finishing touches and use of contrasting thread. Gorgeous.

Love, love, love this! Love the colors and the applique shapes. Thanks for reminding me I don't have to make a shirt from scratch too. The Eddie Bauer outlet has great sales at the end of the season. Was just there yesterday. Will go back and get my shirts for this project. Might even get it started and finished before Mexico vacation if I don't have to make a shirt.

Thank you pat! I did cut the shirt in parts and used it for this project. I used at t-shirt pattern from Megs class Sewing with knits and sewed the shirt together by hand after embellishing. I think some of the other students made a "sandwich" out of readymade t-shirts
