What was your inspiration?

I realized that if I had an apron that I could wear while I was gardening and doing yard work and such, I would be a much happier lady! So I went out, and that's how this garden apron was born. I loved that fact that it sits high on the waist so it covers more of my clothes and it has a very broad skirt that is just nice and big and "flow-y". The ties are super long which not only looks pretty but virtually anyone of any size can wear it. And plus, who doesn't love pockets?!

What are you most proud of?

I'm most proud of the fabric combination. It kind of took me a long time picking out fabric for this project. I wanted something very girlie and quaint but not pinks and "grandma" florals....I wanted something fun, yet pleasing to the eye...and of course I wanted something that just screams "summer!" I think I found all of that in these two fabrics and I just love how pleasing the colors are with each other.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you are starting a project like this.....go crazy with prints!
