Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: I followed Maggie's instructions to the tee, and was so pleased with the results, as was the bride. I used my homemade marshmallow fondant for the ruffles (which I learned from her ruffle class), chocolate ganache, gumpaste, and everything Maggie suggested in her class. It was VERY time consuming but so worth the effort. I love how detailed Maggie's classes are and I'm so happy I took the class!

What are you most proud of? I'm most proud of how natural and detailed the sugar work turned out, and how the ganache looks like wood.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Start early! Be patient (there are over 1,000 of those little rounds). Follow Maggie's instructions! xoxo

This is such a great cake! Are the top three tiers really just ganache? They are outstanding. I may need to buy this course of hers now.
